About Sortberry

Hi, I’m Akash. I moved to Stockholm a few years ago and kept missing things I would have loved to go to, because the events were spread over five or six websites and I never checked them in time. Sortberry started as a page I built for myself: every concert, club night, exhibition, market and family thing in Stockholm for the next few weeks, in one deck you swipe through, with a reminder on the morning of anything you saved.

I work as a software developer here in Stockholm. Sortberry is a hobby project I run in the evenings and on weekends. It is free, it has no ads, no subscription, and I do not sell anything to anyone. It is not a company, it is me.

What signing in shares

You can use the whole deck without an account. Signing in only adds saved events and reminders. Sign-in is “Continue with Google” or “Sign in with Apple”. Sortberry never sees or stores a password. What arrives from Google or Apple is your email address and your name, nothing else: no contacts, no calendar, no files. Apple’s Hide My Email works too.

Your email is used for one thing: the reminder on the morning of an event you saved, and an occasional note about what people are saving that week. Both can be switched off. Deleting your account under Account removes your data, and it works immediately, no email needed.

How it is built

Events are collected automatically from venues, organisers and ticket sites, then checked and sorted with a mix of code and AI before they reach the deck. Some organisers, like BlackPlanet, send their events to Sortberry directly. I use AI tools when writing the code as well, the same way most developers do today. Every part of it is still my responsibility, and if something is wrong the fastest fix is to tell me.
